Mimi O'Brien initiates and assists with fund-raising and resource development for university projects, particularly for institutional priorities. She and her team also advise and assist faculty in developing ideas and seeking support for projects. She began her career in development at Duke in 1991, after serving as director of corporate and foundation relations at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Mimi holds a BA in English from Berea College and an MA in Liberal Studies from Duke University.
Zack Robbins

Zack Robbins was named director of corporate relations in 2007. He joined Duke in 2002 as associate director of corporate relations. Zack facilitates the work of Duke's Corporate Relations Executive Committee, chaired by the provost; the Technology Industry Team, chaired by the CIO; and a campus-wide Corporate Relations Group, representing major units with significant corporate interactions. He is guiding efforts to make the university's corporate relationships intentional and strategic. Zack is a member of Duke's Research Administration and Policy Group and co-founder of the national Network of Academic Corporate Relations Officers.
Victor Taylor

Victor Taylor works with Duke's current and prospective business partners to identify and execute mutual opportunities for collaboration. As part of this effort, he staffs the university-wide Financial Industry Team. Prior to joining Duke, Victor was the vice president of sales, marketing and tournament services for the ATP Tour, the worldwide governing body for men's professional tennis. A native of Wilmington, North Carolina, Victor graduated from Davidson College and started his professional career in the banking business with Florida National Bank in Jacksonville. He and his wife, Lori, have one child, Victor, III.
Beth A. Eastlick

Beth A. Eastlick has been associate director of foundation relations since 2000. As part of this position, she is also assistant director for the Josiah Charles Trent Memorial Foundation. She joined University Development in 1997, having worked in Accounting, at Duke University Press, and for the Department of Economics during the eight prior years. Originally from Montana, she earned a BA from Yale and an MPA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Lois Deloatch

Lois Deloatch is an associate director of corporate and foundation relations. She works with various programs and departments, including the Duke-Durham Neighborhood Partnership and the Nasher Museum of Art, to identify and secure funding for priority projects. Prior to joining the Corporate and Foundation Relations team in 2003, Lois served for thirteen years as a development professional with Perkins Library. She received a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds an MA in Liberal Studies from Duke. Lois is also a professional musician, and she and her husband, Ed Gomes, are active community volunteers.
Kristin Anderson

Kristin Anderson provides research support to corporate and foundation relations staff. She joined the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations in 2008, after working as a development professional at Duke University Press for three years. Before coming to Duke, Kristin worked as annual giving manager at the South Bend Symphony Orchestra in South Bend, Indiana, while her husband pursued graduate work at the University of Notre Dame. She received her BA in English Literature from the California State University in Fullerton. Kristin and her husband, John, have two daughters, Emma and Fiona.
Angela Crews

Angela Crews was born and raised in Indiana and moved to North Carolina in 1993. She joined University Development in 1998 in the Planned Giving Office, then began working with Corporate and Foundation Relations in 1990 as the staff assistant to the assistant vice president of corporate and foundation relations. She has a twelve-year-old daughter who keeps her very busy with her love of sports.
Nancy Hillsman

Nancy Hillsman grew up in Martinsville, Virginia. She received a BA from King College in Bristol, Tennessee. Nancy married her husband, Phil, in 1982 and followed him to the University of Tennessee-Memphis where he received his medical degree. It was there that Nancy became involved in alumni affairs and development. When they moved to Durham for Phil's residency in 1987, Nancy joined the University Development staff at Duke and has remained at Duke in some capacity since. She is assistant to the corporate relations staff and also provides support for foundation work.
