Ann Curry W'65 owns a successful consulting firm that assists non-profit organizations in and around Atlanta. She employs a staff of more than fifty, and has helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for environmental, educational, social service, civic, and cultural initiatives. Growing up in rural South Carolina, Ann never imagined herself owning a business or attending Duke, but financial aid made it possible. "Now I have a balance sheet with Duke that can never be repaid." In gratitude for her scholarship, Ann has established an endowment fund which will provide permanent support for needy undergraduates.
