Article: Three reasons why women should lead household retirement planning

BloombergBusiness recently published the article, “Three reasons why women should lead household retirement planning,” by Carla Fried that suggests women may be more adept at managing their retirement assets than their spouses.

The article points to several statistics as to why women may be uniquely prepared and financial savvy when it comes to planning for their future. Since women are more likely to outlive their husbands, their retirement income must last longer. Women are also able to see the big-picture, may be more inclined to think about their future, and follow the phrase, “patience is a virtue.” I couldn’t agree more.
