Discover how Sarah P. Duke Gardens has grown

Duke University Office of Gift Planning teamed up with our friends at Sarah P. Duke Gardens on August 30 to host a special tour of the Duke Gardens and breakfast. It was wonderful to spend a beautiful (and slightly less humid) morning with so many gardens supporters.

We were excited to have Cindy Brodhead join us at the event and welcome our guests. As a dedicated follower and longtime volunteer for Duke Gardens, Cindy understands the importance of support – both through time and talent – to strengthen and maintain the gardens at Duke.

We were also pleased to have Bobby Mottern, director of horticulture, attend our lunch and talk about the incredible transformation Duke Gardens has undergone over the last several years. He also shared the exciting plans for the Duke Gardens’ future. Be sure to check out our slideshow for highlights of how Duke Gardens has grown!

Planned gifts are responsible for many of our campus treasures. We are fortunate to have the support of donors and friends like you who help keep these valuable places alive. Thank you for your longstanding commitment to this university. You help Duke—and our students, faculty, research, and outreach—make the world a better place.

If you’d like to learn more about supporting the future of Sarah P. Duke Gardens, please feel free to contact the Office of Gift Planning. We would be happy to meet with you or set up a time to talk by phone.
