Duke deeply values its supporters and has a number of ways to recognize your generous contributions.
The James B. Duke Society
The James B. Duke Society recognizes those individuals who have followed the example and generosity of Duke University’s founder, James B. Duke, by continuing his vision through involvement and support, and by providing cumulative gifts exceeding $100,000, pledged or paid, to all areas of Duke University. Women donors who qualify for the James B. Duke Society are automatically included in the Duke Women’s Impact Network (WIN), a community of Duke’s top female philanthropists and volunteer leaders.
Benefits
Members of the James B. Duke Society are invited to Duke’s annual donor recognition celebration. In addition, members are given special access to health care services and appointments at Duke Medicine.
The Heritage Society
The Heritage Society honors alumni and friends who have included Duke in their estate plans or have made some other type of planned gift to Duke University. Learn more about the Heritage Society
The Cornerstone Society and Annual Fund Leadership Gift Clubs
The Cornerstone Society was created to honor donors who have supported the Duke Annual Fund for five or more consecutive years. Undergraduate alumni who have supported the Annual Fund every year since graduation are further recognized as lifetime donors. Duke has also established a number of leadership Gift Clubs to recognize the Annual Fund’s most generous donors.
The Founders Society
The Founders Society, active from 1980 through 2004, honors those whose gifts of $25,000 or more established permanent endowments, thus helping to assure that the university will always be able to fulfill its mission of excellence in teaching, research, and patient care. Members of the the Founders Society are invited to Duke’s annual donor recognition celebration.
